On February 19 of this year, the remote meeting of the Latvian Association of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Physicians was attended by the service delivery process manager of the Vaivari Technical Aids Centre (VTPC)
Vita Deičmane, VTPC financial and administrative process manager Madara Vītola, and customer service specialist Indra Poškusa. VTPC representatives presented their and their colleagues' experiences in providing the service of home oxygen therapy - “Long-term oxygen therapy at home - best practices and system cornerstones.”
Indra explained what constitutes the cooperation model in providing this service: the doctors and patients, their relatives, VTPC, and service providers, as well as the most important nuances in the precise formulation of referrals and opinions, so that the service can be provided to the client as quickly as possible.
We remind you that to ensure long-term oxygen therapy at the patient's home:
- VTPC must submit or send a patient-signed application (original) for receiving the assistive device*
- the treating physician's opinion in e-health with AAGĀ (request for the preparation of the opinion to inform VTPC).
*The application form can be found on the VTPC website in the section «Documents to be submitted» or we also accept applications written in free form.
