European Union Recovery Fund Project “Enhancing Accessibility of Technical Aids”

Implementation and monitoring of the investment “Enhancing Accessibility of Technical Aids” under the reform and investment direction “Regional Policy” 3.1.2.r. of the European Union Recovery and Resilience Mechanism Plan 3.1.
Planned funding:
8,113,526 EUR (including Recovery Fund financing – 7,196,909 EUR and state budget financing (value-added tax) – indicatively 916,617 EUR).
Objective:
To improve access to mobility, self-care, function replacement or restoration, and alternative communication technical aids
for persons with functional impairments, thereby promoting their independence and reducing the need for care, including demand for long-term social care services.
Target group:
Persons with functional impairments (as defined in the first part of Article 25 of the Social Services and Social Assistance Law).
Target indicator:
By June 30, 2026, 10,474 technical aids will be issued in the implementation of the investment to persons with functional impairments.
Project implementation period: January 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026.
Supported activities of the project:
Provision of technical aids service: issuance of technical aids using a voucher method or co-payment.
Website enhancement: ensuring accessibility of digital content and technical aids catalog.
Measures to ensure communication and visual identity requirements.
Project management and implementation.
Project applicant/funding recipient: VSIA "National Rehabilitation Centre "Vaivari".
