Assistive devices issued on loan are intended for use for a specific period. The usage term is specified in the loan agreement.
When this term expires, you have two options:
- purchase the assistive device,
- or continue using it until it becomes your property.
How to redeem an assistive device
An assistive device can be redeemed if:
- the usage term specified in the loan agreement has expired,
- you submit an application to VTPC for the purchase of the assistive device.
Redemption price:
15% of the value of the assistive device.
After redemption, the assistive device becomes your property.
Example:
If the value of the assistive device is 100 EUR, the redemption fee will be 15 EUR.
When the assistive device automatically becomes your property
The assistive device becomes your property free of charge if it has been used 1.5 times longer than the usage period specified in the contract.
Example:
If the usage period specified in the contract is 3 years, then after 4.5 years the assistive device automatically becomes your property.
No additional documents need to be submitted.
