The wheelchair accessory is a special device. It is attached to a regular wheelchair. Then the wheelchair operates on electricity like an electric wheelchair. This accessory is the electric traction device. The person receives this accessory with a co-payment. This means that part is paid by the state, and part is paid by the person. The accessory is the person's property for 6 years. Costs are the same as for an electric wheelchair, which has a motorized hand steering system (this means that the wheelchair is controlled by a handle, and it is moved by a motor). The state does not pay for battery replacement. If the battery wears out, the person pays for it themselves. A person cannot have this accessory together with other electric drive assistive devices.
